Nicole Liammari

Founder & CEO, WellieWay
Founder & Chair, WellieWay Kids Foundation

Nicole is the Founder & CEO of WellieWay™ and the creator of Rootin’ for Poopin’™ and The WellieWay Method™ — a lifestyle-first approach helping families transform their wellness naturally and sustainably.

Her work began with her own journey. After decades of battling asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, CRPS, a major car accident, and a spinal injury, Nicole found herself trapped in a medical cycle that managed symptoms but never restored health. When traditional approaches failed, she turned to research, rebuilt her wellness from the ground up, and discovered the power of rhythm, nourishment, and lifestyle foundations.

That transformation became her purpose.

What began as My Gut Hut/PrimalRoot Wellness has now evolved into WellieWay™ — a national movement and education company helping families create real, lasting change through simple, natural daily habits. Her programs hold a 98% success rate, rooted not in quick fixes but in teaching families how the body actually works.

Nicole is an international best-selling author, a recipient of the Brainz 500 Global Award, and a recognized leader in children’s and family wellness. She also founded the WellieWay Kids Foundation™ (non-profit sector), dedicated to ensuring underserved families gain access to natural wellness education — because she believes wellness is a right, not a privilege.

Known for her bold honesty, research-driven clarity, and heart-led leadership, Nicole is a trusted guide for families seeking real answers and sustainable solutions. She lives in Central Florida with her family and loves cooking from scratch, fresh-milled baking, the beach, traveling, and reading the latest health research.

Janet Taves, RN

Registered Nurse | Advisory Council Member of the Wellieway Kids Foundation

Janet is a mom of four and a former Registered Nurse whose passion for health and prevention has shaped both her career and her family life. She began her nursing journey at the Mayo Clinic, working on a medical unit where she cared for patients with a wide range of conditions and diagnoses. That experience strengthened her belief that true wellness begins with prevention and healthy daily habits.

Outside the hospital, Janet combined her love for movement and community by working at a local running store where she taught a “Learn to Run a 5K” class and helped others train for a 5k while she herself also trained for half and full marathons. Encouraging people to care for their bodies through lifestyle and activity became a natural extension of her work in healthcare.

Ten years ago, Janet and her husband moved to Colorado, where she continued serving families through both home hospice and postpartum nursing. During her time on a postpartum unit, she became deeply passionate about supporting mothers and babies in the earliest moments of life. She helped her hospital achieve Baby-Friendly status and contributed to an Evidence-Based Practice project focused on the importance of skin-to-skin contact in the operating room for C-section mothers, which she later presented at a national conference in Florida. Janet also became a Certified Lactation Counselor in order to better serve the families she cared for.

Janet’s connection to WellieWay became personal when her own daughter went through the WellieWay process with Nicole and experienced incredible change. Seeing the impact it had on her family deepened Janet’s desire to support other parents on their journey toward healthier kids.

Today, Janet stays home with her four children and enjoys using the knowledge and experience from her nursing career to care for her family and encourage others. She has also taught newborn care and breastfeeding classes at a local pregnancy center and loves helping parents feel confident, informed, and supported. Janet is excited to be part of the WellieWay mission and to help families take meaningful steps toward lasting wellness.

With over 20 years of experience, she began as a teacher in Puerto Rico before earning her degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Her extensive background ranges from treating childhood trauma to helping adults navigate life's complexities.

She often says "the Universe brought her to WellieWay," and for good reason. After seeing her son’s transformative progress through Nicole’s expertise, Kimberly joined the team to pay that success forward.

Today, she balances her role as a corporate consultant with her passion for helping families find the same breakthroughs her own family achieved.

Marie Curcio

Research & Content Director

Advisory Council Member

Marie Curcio, mother of Nicole Liammari, has healed herself of multiple health issues and helped countless others achieve success on their wellness journeys.

It was nearly 40 years ago that Marie turned away from conventional medicine. It wasn't helping her daughter's asthma, nor was it helping a son with Kawasaki disease (which causes blood vessel inflammation and can lead to heart complications). She used natural healing methods to help rid her children of their respective disorders.

She also helped care for her parents in their older years, utilizing a natural protocol - which made a dramatic difference in the length and quality of life for Marie's mother, who was diagnosed with cancer.

Marie's own wellness journey had similarly significant effects. She was able to better manage and avoid surgery for multiple conditions, including thyroid disease and spinal issues that had been causing her enormous pain and suffering. She also rounded out her training in natural/alternative methods of wellness with classes at Clavton College of Natural Health.

A trauma survivor, Marie is 100% a believer in the mind-body connection and its ability to allow vou to live an autonomous life when it comes to vour health and wellness.

Marie credits her success with the teaching and works of natural-health proponents, such Ram Dass, Eckhart Tolle, Don Miguel Ruiz, Wayne Dyer, Joe Dispenza, Alberto Villoldo, Deepak Chopra, Sadhguru, Carl Sagan, Andrew Weil, and more.

In addition, since retiring in late 2024, Marie also specializes in creating gentle, natural oils crafted specifically for babies, blending the science of wellness with the art of care. Her passion extends beyond alchemy into the world of artistry, where creativity and innovation intertwine to inspire and nurture. This unique blend of skills allows her to bring both beauty and healing into the lives of those she serves.

Christine Knight

Teacher | Author | Secretary of the
WellieWay Kids Foundation

Christy Knight has spent 24 years teaching, encouraging, and lifting up the next generation, and her heart for women and families runs deep. She’s the author of two books on biblical identity and mindset renewal, and she leads an online community of women who are learning to rebuild their lives with hope, joy, and practical tools for emotional and spiritual strength.

Christy’s journey with WellieWay began as a desperate mom. Her daughter battled chronic constipation for twelve years - every medication, every protocol, two hospital cleanouts, and still no relief. Nicole’s program changed everything. Within weeks, her daughter went from constant struggle to full healing, medication-free and thriving in a way Christy had prayed for years to see. Christy also faced her own health challenges after a hysterectomy, and the WellieWay approach helped her recover, stabilize, and feel like herself again.

Christy brings both lived experience and a heart full of compassion to the WellieWay board. She believes every family deserves to walk in the kind of healing and hope she experienced first-hand, and she is honored to help support that mission.

Courtney Enriquez

Research & Content Director

Advisory Council Member

Hello! Hi, my name is Courtney Enriquez and I am a mother of three beautiful children. My husband and our family live in beautiful SoCal and have now begun our new journey with helping families who are struggling with severe and chronic constipation.

Our journey of constipation started with our first-born child Alora, at the age of 7 months old. At the beginning of our journey, we were seeing multiple gastroenterologists (pediatric and adult), pelvic floor therapists, motility specialists and more.

Throughout our 3-year journey, and what was really the turning point for us, was when the specialists in the motility department at CHOC Children's Hospital in Los Angeles told me “Not to worry about the gut

health at the moment,” and to keep pushing medications through out daughters cecostomy tube, which had completely stopped working, her body was not responding to any medications anymore.

I had been talking to Nicole with PrimalRoot Wellness (now WellieWay)for a month at this time, and once the doctors at CHOC Childrens Hospital told me those words, my husband and I immediately decided that we had nothing to lose in joining Nicole’s program. If we did not take another approach, I could not imagine the amount of unnecessary trauma an surgeries they would have put her through.

After one week into Nicole’s program, our daughter started pooping on her own. 3 months later, we removed her cecostomy tube.

We are now sharing our story and showing parents a new way to resolve their children’s constipation and grateful for the dedication and time Nicole and her Team has given us. Most importantly, that she was able to restore our daughter’s life back.
